Jimmy D. Dalton

Jimmy D. Dalton, 59, of Peoria formerly of Rainsville, AL, passed away at 3:16am Tuesday June 17, 2014 at OSF St. Francis Medical Center in Peoria. He was born January 17, 1955 in Deklab County, AL the son of Elton and Imogene Dalton. He married the late Sandra Haggard of Farmington on November 22, 1988. Surviving are his daughter Rebecca Dalton of Metamora, one granddaughter Mayknzie Johnson, two brothers Roger (Melinda) Knott of Kewanee, and Norman Knott of Peoria, three sisters Theresa Knott Sheila Knott both of Georgia, Irene Knott of Colorado, as well as several nieces and nephews. His parents and two infant brothers preceded him in death. Jimmy worked for Alabama Wholesale Socks in Ft. Payne, AL for many years. He also worked at A-1 Truss Company in Rainsville, AL as a laborer before moving to Peoria. He had many enjoyments in life including vegetable garden, fishing but particularly enjoyed spending time with friends and family. Cremation rites have been accorded. A time to celebrate Jimmy's life will be Saturday, July 28, 2014 from 4pm until 7pm at Dave's Bar 901 S. Shelley St. in Peoria.
