Jo Ann "Jo-Jo" Wagner

Jo Ann "Jo-Jo" Wagner, 52 of Dubuque, IA formerly of Mendota, IL passed away on Thursday, Aug. 18, 2011, after a courageous battle with cancer. She passed peacefully into the arms of her Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ, surrounded by her loving family. Jo-Jo was born in Chilton, WI on November 11, 1958, the daughter of Clarence and Ruth (Hertel) Wagner. She moved to IL as a child and graduated as Salutatorian from Mendota High School in 1976. She later earned a B.S. and M.S. degree in computer science from Northern Illinois University in 1979 and 1981 respectively. Jo was preceded in death by her parents. She is survived by her daughter, Sarah J. Haggard of Seattle, WA; her son, Kenneth (Heather) Haggard of Kewanee; two brothers, Paul Wagner of Wyoming and Jack (Katie) Wagner of Houston, TX; two sisters, Mary (John) Driver of Deale, Maryland and Jean (Jeff) Baile of Peoria; nieces, Carrie (Nic) Durham of Houston, TX and Stephanie Baile of Bloomington; and nephews Adam Wagner of Houston, TX and Alex Baile of Peoria Heights. Jo's latest adventure took her to Dubuque, IA where she enjoyed her career as a Performance and Capacity Planning Analyst with IBM. In Dubuque, Jo was a member of Hope Evangelical Free Church and delighted in her monthly "Cup of Jo" Coffee Club gatherings. She will be missed dearly by all those whose lives she touched. Cremation rites have been accorded with no services scheduled. Memorial contributions may be made in lieu of flowers to the Susan G. Komen Foundation.
