Joann Otto

JoAnn E. Otto, 86, of Washington passed away on Tuesday, October 8, 2013 at OSF St. Francis Medical Center in Peoria. She was born on January 22, 1927 in Kansas City, MO the daughter of John and Marian Konantz Eagan. Surviving are two sons Robert "Chip" (Nancy) Otto Jr. of Metamora, and Kevin (Debra) Otto of Columbus, IN. Also surviving are four grandchildren Ryan, Collin, Elizabeth and Kristin as well as one sister Jackie (Jim) Rome of Corpus Christi, TX. Her parents, and one son Michael preceded her in death. JoAnn received her Master's degree in Occupational Therapy from SIU-Carbondale in 1964. She was employed by the State of Illinois working at the Anna State Hospital in Anna, IL for many years, later working as an Occupational Therapist consultant for various insurance companies. She enjoyed quilting and had a love for her family and animals. Cremation rites have been accorded. A Memorial Service will be held 10:30am on Saturday, October 12, 2013 in the chapel at Washington Christian. In lieu of flowers memorials in her name may be given to Washington Christian Village or to St. Mark's Lutheran Church in Washington.
