John W. Beanblossom, 75, of Metamora, Illinois, passed away on April 29, 2026, at the OSF Richard L. Owens Hospice Home in Peoria, Illinois.

He was born on August 29, 1950, in Lawrenceville, Illinois, the son of Millard and Magdalene Ryder Beanblossom. He married Gloria E. Keller on August 29, 1970.

Surviving are his wife, one son, Shawn (Wendy) Beanblossom of Germantown Hills, Illinois. Also surviving are 2 grandchildren, Alexandra (Zachary) Bernitt and Zachary (Alivia) Beanblossom, one great granddaughter, Mallory Bernitt, 3 brothers, Richard, Dennis and Thomas, and 4 sisters, Rosa Lee, Linda, Henrietta and Laura. He was preceded in death by his parents and his brother Michael. A U.S. Air Force Veteran, he worked for Xerox Corporation and State Farm Insurance Company until his retirement in 2017. He also served on the Allin Township Fire Department and Rescue Squad for 25 years.

Cremation Rites have been accorded. His family will privately celebrate his life at a later date.
