John F. Burton

Johnie F. Burton, 85, of Hanna City, passed away peacefully at 2:25am on Wednesday, December 11, 2013 at his home with family by his side. He was born on August 1, 1928 in Squires, Mo the son of James and Lillie Wilson Burton. He married Loretta J. Turner on December 1, 1949 in Mountain Home, AR. Surviving are his wife and their two children Barry (Sandy) Burton of Trivoli, and Johnna (Verle) Doubet of Hanna City. Also surviving are 7 grandchildren, 12 great grandchildren and several niece, nephews and cousins. Two brothers and four sisters preceded him in death. John worked at several jobs in his lifetime before retiring from Caterpillar Tractor in 1982 after 30 years. Cremation rites have been accorded and graveside services will be held at a later date at Yates City Cemetery in Yates City. Memorial donations in his name may be given to Unity Point Health Methodist Hospice.
