Jon K. Greuter

Jon K. Greuter, 89, a resident of East Peoria, IL passed away at 2:12 am on Tuesday, October 15, 2024, at OSF Richard L. Owens Hospice Home in Peoria, IL.

Born on September 23, 1935, in Peoria, Jon was the cherished son of Orrie and Mabel LaConte Greuter. He found love and companionship with Jana L. Baxter, whom he married on September 28, 1958, in East Peoria, IL.

Jon is survived by his loving wife and their children, Daniel Greuter, Valarie (Joe) McDuffie, and Eric (Marjorie) Greuter. His legacy also lives on through four grandchildren and two step-grandchildren.

A proud U.S. Army Veteran, Jon dedicated himself to serving his country. He also spent many years as a valued employee of Caterpillar Tractor Co.  A passionate car collector, he was a distinguished member of both the IVAAC and the Thunderbird Club for many years.
