Jonathan M. Hicks, 48, of East Peoria passed away at 5:40pm Saturday December 1, 2012 at the OSF St. Francis Medical Center in Peoria. He was born on February 17, 1964 in Centerville, IL the son of Richard L. and Brenda K, Roberts. He married Tiffany D. Bishop on April 9, 1988 in Granite City, IL. Surviving are his wife, one son Jeremy M. Bishop of Washington and one daughter Jessica Hicks of East Peoria. Also surviving are his parents of Morton, three sisters Melissa (Jerry) Schoedel, Maria (Michael Lockwood) Ummel, and Rachel (David) Auen all of East Peoria, and one granddaughter Reagon N. Bishop and one expecting grandchild. Many nieces, nephews, cousins, aunts, uncles and friends will also miss him. Jon was a building contractor. His enjoyments in life were riding his motorcycle, fishing, hunting and playing pool. Cremation rites have been accorded with a memorial service scheduled for 5pm on Thursday Dec. 6th at River Terrace Church, 14429 N. Edgewater Dr. in Chillicothe. Visitation will be one-hour prior to his service. Burial of his remains will be at a later date at Roberts Cemetery in Morton.
