Jonetia Tiean Sheff, of Pekin, IL, passed away at her residence in Pekin, on June 2, 2022. She was born on May 9, 1966, in Pekin IL, to Kenneth and Dorothy Owens Sheff.

Surviving are her three beautiful children, sons Marcus (Raquel) Nelson and Luke Nelson, and one daughter Marissa (Wyatt) Rawlings, all of Texas. Also surviving are her two grandchildren, Elijah and Evan Nelson, also of Texas. Sisters Cindy Stoehr, Marinda Sheff, her brothers Robert, Shane Sheff, Leonard Sheff, and many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents, brothers Aiden Sheff, Timothy Sheff, Kennard Sheff, Dexter Sheff Nephew Timothy Philip Sheff, great-nieces Nevaeh Tyler, Savanna Sheff, and Kristlynn Sheff.

Joneita completed high in the spring of 1985. She married Randy Nelson on July 16, 1983. Jonetia loved animals and spending time with her family.

Cremation rites were accorded. Memorials in her name may be given to Tazewell Animal Protective Society, 100 Taps Lane, Pekin, IL 61554.
