Joyce Carmen Levi

Joyce Carmen Levi of Peoria passed away at 2:25 pm Saturday July 2, 2011 at Heartland Health Care Center of Peoria. She was born in Peoria on April 1, 1934 the daughter of Walter and Anna McConnell Atkisson. She married Clarence Jr. Levi July 12, 1964 in Peoria he survives, Also surviving are 8 children; Dorene (Robert) Boyer of Florida, Donald (Mamie) Howe of Peoria, Diana (Clark) Hinshaw Sr., of Peoria, Danielle (Michael) Webb of Washington, Carol (David) Williams of Elmwood, William (Tammy) Levi of Peoria, Amy Johnson of Peoria, Ginger Howe (Daughter/Granddaughter) of Pekin She is also survived by three special daughters Margret Ann Levi of Peoria, Kimberly Levi of Peoria and Cynthia (Donald) Cooling of Peoria. One Aunt, Martha June Penn of California, also survives her. She has 30 grandchildren, 33 great grandchildren and 2 great great grandchildren and one niece and two nephews further surviving. She was preceded in death by her Parents, her sister Carol Catherine Wisher, three grandsons Wesley J Ledesma, Jason Andrew Levi, Sean Michael Levi, and one great-grandson Michael Ryan Webb II Joyce worked as a nursing assistant working many years. She was a member of the Church Jesus Christ Of Latter Day Saints. Joyce was a devoted wife, loving mother, grandmother and friend. She liked to bowl, play bingo, crochet, write, and tell stories and jokes. She also enjoyed singing Happy Birthday to all her family and friends on their birthday. The family would like to thank the Heartland Health Care Staff for the care and support they gave our Mom and Family. A Memorial Service is scheduled to celebrate Joyce's life on July 16, 2011, at 11:00 AM at the church of Jesus Christ Of Latter Day Saints, 3700 W. Reservoir Boulevard, Peoria, IL. Memorials may be given in her name to the American Cancer Society.
