Judith L. Lindsey, 90, of Peoria, Illinois, passed away on Wednesday, May 6, 2026, at her residence.

She was born on January 5, 1936, in Peoria, to Warren and Georgia LaGrow Kircher. She married Darrell Lindsey, who passed away on June 12, 1990. She was also preceded in death by her daughter, Debra Wallace.

Surviving family members include her son, Darrell (Linda) Lindsey of Lincolnton, GA; daughter, Becky (Mike) Stockov of Evans, CO; and Vickie Lindsey of Bellevue, Illinois. She is also survived by nine grandchildren, many great-grandchildren, and one great-great-granddaughter. Also surviving is her son-in-law, Walter Wallace III of Dunlap, Illinois.Additionally, she leaves behind her brother Bill Kircher of Texas, and two sisters, Doris Jean Martin of East Peoria, IL, and Barbara Whitworth of Huntsville, AL. 

Judy started her career working at Springdale Cemetery. Later, she and her husband owned and managed a furniture store in Canton and Chillicothe for several years. After that, she worked for McDonald's Corporation and the Pizza Palace. In her later years, she served as a bank teller in Chicago before retiring.

Cremation rites have been accorded. Her family will privately celebrate her life. In lieu of flowers, memorials in her name may be made to a charity of the donor’s choice. Affordable Funeral & Cremation Services, Peoria, has been entrusted with arrangements.
