Karla Ann Jackson

Karla A. Jackson, 43, of Peoria passed away on Sunday evening at her home with family by her side. She was born on June 29, 1969 in Peoria the daughter of Marion and Wilma Hendricks Stevens. She married Cody Jackson on February 14, 1987 in Peoria. He passed away on August 3, 2008 in Peoria. She was also preceded in death by her parents, one sister Laura Stewart in 2004, one infant grandson in 2006. Surviving are two daughters Joanie Jackson and Kayla Jackson both of Peoria, two sons David Jackson and Cameron Jackson both of Bartonville. Also surviving are three sisters Rhonda Brackney of Peoria, Tina DeForest of Pekin, and Melisa Onken of Bartonville. She worked for several dry cleaning businesses in the Peoria area for over 25 years last working for Western Ave. Cleaners in December of 2009. She enjoyed playing darts and singing karaoke. Cremation rites have been accorded with a graveside service 3pm Thursday at Lutheran Cemetery in Peoria. The family will receive friends immediately after at the Knights of Columbus Hall on 3523 W. Hill St. Peoria, IL. Memorials may be given in her name to a charity of the donor's choice.
