Kelly Jones

Jonathan "Kelly" Jones, 58 of East Peoria, passed away at 5:07pm Monday, July 13, 2015 at Unity Point Health Methodist in Peoria. He was born on January 22, 1957 in Peoria the son of Wallace and Lila Bruntz Jones. He married Gerri Gasaway on July 22, 1989 in Peoria. Surviving are his wife, one son Bobby (Lisa) Jones of Morton, special daughter-in-law Laura (Brian) White of Washington. Also surviving are six grandchildren Quinten, Chase, Larissa, Lily, Joshua Jr. and Mya. Further surviving are four sisters; twins Sherry Reardon and Sharon (Kenny) Reardon all of Peoria; Helen (Robert) Carson and Marcia Jones all of Peoria; four brothers Wallace Jones of Kansas; Bradley (Kenna) Jones of Pekin; Douglas Jones of Peoria and Robert Jones of South Carolina as well as many nieces, nephews, and over 100 cousins. He was preceded in death by one son Joshua, as well as his parents. Kelly worked for the City of East Peoria for 37 years, last working in the Water Division before retiring in 2013. An avid Chicago Cubs fan, he had many enjoyments in life including fishing and spending time with his family. "Kelly loved everybody and everybody loved Kelly". Cremation rites have been accorded. No services are scheduled. The family encourages memorials in his name may be given TAPS or to a charity of their choice.
