Kenneth G. Simon

Kenneth G. Simon, 72, of East Peoria passed away peacefully at 10:50am Sunday July 17, 2011 at his residence with family by his side. He would never want us to be sad only to laugh remembering the times we shared and that he will remain with us in love. While he promised to watch over us in the next life, surviving to carry on his spirit are his wife, and 4 children Danielle (Robert) Tjarks of Glasford, Brant Simon of East Peoria, Mark (Heidi) Simon and Pamela (Bruce) Roberts both of Marquette, Michigan, Amber Burkett and Tiffany (Spence) Bolte both of Eagle Rive, WI . Also surviving his 8 grandchildren as well as one sister Jeanie Vandenberg of Kaukauna, WI. Ken was born on October 15, 1938 in Appleton WI the son of Harold and Dorothy Simon. He married April Simon on July 22, 1989 in Wallace, MI. Ken passed away just 5 days short of their 22nd anniversary. Ken inspired the lives of many and would have given you the shirt off his back. He will be greatly missed and eternally loved. At the request of Ken, his remains will be gifted to the Anatomical Gift Association of Illinois. There will be no services. Memorials may be given in Ken's name to a charity of the donor's choice.
