Kenneth R. Williams, 50, of Peoria passed away at 5:45am on Monday May 30, 2011 at Fondulac Rehab and Health Care Center in East Peoria. He was born on November 15, 1960 in Peoria the son of Galen and Janice Williams Williams. He married Karen Zastrow. He later married Julie Callahan on December 11, 1996 Peoria. Surviving is his wife, one son Tim Williams of Peoria, and one daughter Frances "Nicky" Williams of Pekin. He is further survived by his father and stepmother Galen and Judy Williams of East Peoria, one granddaughter, three sisters Karen (Mike) Montenga of Irrigon, OR; Kim Lee of Kennewick, WA; and Deanne (Manuel) Crawford of Delavan, IL, one brother David "Butch" Williams of East Peoria. Also surviving is his mother-n-law Gloria Callahan and sister-n-law Patti Jo Callahan both of Dunlap, IL His mother preceded him in death in 1974. A graduate of East Peoria High school class of 1979 he then entered the US Army serving in Germany before being honorably discharged in July of 1982. He worked for Gray Interplant Systems working in logistics for 10 years. He then worked in electronic repairs for many years. He loved gardening, cooking and was an avid Minnesota Vikings fan, and a fan of Star Trek television series. Cremation rites have been accorded with a memorial service scheduled for 1:00pm Thursday June 2, 2011 at Prospect United Methodist Church in Dunlap, IL with the Rev. Mary Kathryn Pearce officiating. The family will greet friends during a luncheon immediately following the service. In lieu of flowers memorials may be given in his name to VITAS Hospice Charity Fund 5019 N. Executive Dr. Peoria, IL 61614 or to Prospect United Methodist Church.
