Larry Callan

Larry L. Callan, 74, of Peoria Heights, passed away at 1:00am, Monday, March 19, 2018 at Heartland Health Care Center of Peoria.

He was born on May 28, 1943 in Peoria the son of the late William and Mary Helen Herzog Callan. He married MaryAnn Walz on September 30, 1967 in Waterville, MN. She passed away on January 29, 2013. One brother James Callan also preceded him in death.

Surviving are one daughter, Dawn (Harold) Butler of Forest City; one son, Todd Callan of Arvada, Colo.; two grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.

He was a U.S. Army Veteran being honorably discharged in June of 1965. He was the owner and operator of River City Marine Works in Peoria for many years. Larry had interest in cars, bike riding, golf and woodworking along with breakfast with his close friends.

Cremation rites have been accorded and a time to celebrate his life will be from 4pm until 7:00pm April 13, 2018 at Gebby's Family Restaurant, 726 E War Memorial Drive in Peoria Heights.
