Larry Garrison, 71, of Peoria passed away at 6:05pm on Monday February 4, 2013 at OSF St. Francis Medical Center in Peoria. He was born on May 1, 1941 in Wayne City, IL the son of John and Juanita Gammon Garrison. He married Marilyan Love on March 5, 1960 in Peoria, and she survives. Also surviving is one daughter Connie Garrison of Peoria; two sons Garry (Heidi) Garrison of Washington and Mark (Amy Feeser) Garrison of Peoria. Further surviving are five grandchildren; four great grandchildren; one brother Rick (Deb) Garrison of Tremont; and one sister Alma (Phil) Pilkington of Morton. His parents preceded him in death. He attended both Kingman Grade School and Woodruff High School in Peoria. Larry started working as a parking lot attendant at Block & Kuhl Co., then working for a Peoria insulation dealer, Stanley gas station and then a unit builder at Peoria City Transit before working at Caterpillar Tractor for 35 years last working as an electrician before retiring in 1993. He was a member of Grandview Masonic Lodge #1112 AF & AM, and Scottish Rite Bodies-Valley of Peoria. He loved to fish, hunt, and spend time with his family. He will be dearly missed. Cremation Rites have been accorded with a memorial service scheduled for 11am Saturday, February 16th at Grandview Masonic Lodge in Peoria Heights with Rev. Randy Saxon officiating. Memorials may be made to a charity of the donor's choice.
