Larry Monroe

Larry Monroe, 65, of Peoria, passed away on Saturday, October 8, 2022, at his residence.

Larry was born in Peoria on September 18, 1957, a son of Frederick and Delenia (Carter) Monroe. He married Karen Joesting on June 18, 1977, in Pekin at Trinity Lutheran Church. She survives.

He is also survived by his children, Jennifer (Brian) Deaton of Decatur and Adam (Jessica) Monroe of Peoria; and grandsons, Caden Deaton, Colton Deaton and Lukas Monroe.

Larry was preceded in death by his parents.

He worked for 30 years at Liberty Wire and Steel, formerly Keystone Wire and Steel. He retired on September 30, 2019. He was a member of USW Local 9305 in Bartonville.

Larry enjoyed family gatherings with his children, and especially his grandchildren, where he was sure to treat them with a delicious meal, which he prepared on his smoker. He was a help to anyone in need.
