Laveta J. Engle, 74, of Laura, IL passed away at 11:53am on Friday, March 7, 2014 at OSF St. Francis Medical Center in Peoria. She was born on February 8, 1940 in Peoria the daughter of Roy and Bessie Way McCall. She married John Engle and he passed away on December 20, 2006 in Peoria. Her parents, five brothers and four sisters also preceded her in death. Surviving are one daughter Deborah (Walter) Deemie of Laura and one son Dave McCall of Peoria. Also surviving are 8 grandchildren, 8 great grandchildren, as well as several nieces, nephews, and cousins. She had many enjoyments in life, but was most happy when spending time with her family. Cremation rites have been accorded. Private family services will be at a later date with private burial in St. Mary's Cemetery in West Peoria.
