Lawrence Douglas Reames, Jr.

Lawrence Douglas Reames Jr., 53, of Peoria, IL, passed away at his residence on Monday, October 25, 2021, with his caring stepson Cody Pollitt by his side.

On December 25, 1968, he was born in Benton, IL, to Lawrence Douglas Reames Sr. and Lois A. Freeman.  He married Mary-Lee Secrest.  His parents, wife, and one grandson, Xavier Douglas Hall preceded him in death.

Surviving and left to cherish his memory are cat, Stewart aka Booboo Kitty, his children, Angela (Kelvin Hall) Reames of Peoria and Brittney and William Reames of Elmer, Louisiana; beautiful granddaughter, Savannah Douglas-Rose Hall; sisters, Tammy (Russell) Wolf of Bartonville and Robin (David) Maynard of Peoria Heights; many aunts and uncles; as well as many nieces, nephews, great-nieces, great-nephews, many in-laws and kids whom he considered his.

Larry was loved by many who knew him.  He loved to shoot guns at the range with his best friend, Todd Trainor, and ride motorcycles. He adored seeing his granddaughter, Savannah. No matter how bad he was feeling, she could always make him smile. He loved being a PopPop.
