Leonard "Lenny" Kelton, Jr., 64, passed away Wednesday, October 1st, 2014 at 5:14pm after a short & courageous battle with liver cancer. He was born November 25, 1949 in Peoria, IL and was the son of Leonard & Betty (Mitchell) Kelton. He married Patti Riley on May 6, 1983 in Pekin, IL. She survives. Upon retiring from the union, he worked as a Starter/Marshall at Donovan Golf Course. He enjoyed his regular Sunday morning golfers. Lenny loved his country, his wife & son, his friends & the Chicago sports teams especially the Blackhawks. He was hoping to make it to the see the Hawks in the playoffs this year so we guess he will have to settle for the " best seat in the house". He will be remembered for his kindness, humility, willingness to help others and his infectious laugh & big bear hugs. We miss him already! The family would like to thank, Dr. Rachel Davis for her compassion. Cremation rites have been accorded. His ashes will be scattered in the Caribbean which was his favorite vacation spot. He really loved the islands. A celebration of Lenny's life will be held Saturday, October 25, 2014 from 4pm until 8pm at The Well, 4450 N. Prospect Rd Suite S1 Peoria Heights, IL.
