Leon L. Blair

Leon L. Blair, 72, of East Peoria, IL, passed away at 8:55 pm, Tuesday, January 25, 2022, in the emergency room of OSF St. Francis Medical Center in Peoria.

He was born on October 9, 1949, in Peoria, IL, the son of Willis and Margaret (Carter) Blair. He married Sandra Parker on September 27, 1974, in Peoria.

Surviving are his wife, Sandra of East Peoria; one daughter, Veronica (Angela Robison) Blair of Washington; two grandsons, Brandon (Madison Morse) Martin of Canton and Jacob Flowers of Chicago; one granddaughter, Kirsten Flowers (Kevin Barreda); one great-granddaughter, Maya of Dublin, Ohio; one sister, Sonjia Armstrong of Washington; along with many nieces and nephews and honorary grandkids. His parents, one great-grandson Rowen Martin, and twenty siblings all preceded him in death.

He attended Revive Church in East Peoria. A favorite past time for Leon was sitting on the front porch of his home, people watching, and listening to music and to the police scanner.

Cremation rites have been accorded. A memorial service is scheduled for Saturday, February 5, 2022 at 11:00 am at Revive Church, 3212 Springfield Road, East Peoria with doors opening at 10:00 am. Pastor Robert Finley will officiate. Lunch will be provided after the service. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be given to TAPS, 100 Taps Lane, Pekin, IL 61554. Affordable Funeral & Cremation Services are assisting the family.
