Liana K. Durbin, 74, of East Peoria, Illinois, passed away peacefully at 6:52 pm on September 26, 2025, at OSF St. Francis Medical Center in Peoria, Illinois, surrounded by her family.
Born on April 3, 1951, in Peoria, Illinois, Liana was the beloved daughter of Freda M. Barden and Delbert E. Pickel. She was preceded in death by her parents, and her sister, Diana Brown.
Liana is survived by her beloved children, Amy (Gary) Slusher of East Peoria, Illinois; Joseph Myetich and his children, Kaiden (Ivy) Myetich and Allison Myetich of Indianapolis, Indiana; Angela (Britt) Muller of Porter, Texas; Corey Stenstrom of East Peoria, Illinois; as well as her cherished granddaughter, Kylee Miles (Luke Schone) of Chapin, Illinois; her sister, Linda (William) McQueen of Petersburg, Illinois; and a host of nieces, great-nieces, and a great-nephew.
Liana retired from Hiram Walker & Sons, and later embraced her passion for floral design, especially alongside her sister Linda. She was a lifelong lover of horses, owning many throughout her life, and her affection for animals of all kinds was truly unmatched. She found joy in the simple pleasures-especially watching Lucille Ball, whose timeless humor never failed to make her laugh.
Liana touched the lives of everyone who had the honor of knowing her. Her selflessness, warmth, and generous spirit will be remembered forever. She leaves behind a legacy of love, unwavering strength, and compassion that lives on in all of us.
