Lois A. Weinstein

PEORIA-Lois Anne Weinstein, 73, of Peoria passed away Tuesday, December 5, 2017 in Bartonville at the home of her daughter Tammy.

She was born on November 13, 1944 in Murphysboro, IL daughter of William E. and Nora Morris Freeman. She married Lawrence D. Reames Sr. in 1963, She later married Phillip Weinstein on February 27, 1981, he passed on February 9, 1995. Her parents, two sisters, one brother and one daughter in law Mary Lee Reames also preceded her in death.

Surviving are daughters Tammy (Russell) Wolf, Robin (David) Maynard and Rebecca (Michael Batdorf and one son Larry Reames. Also surviving are 8 grandchildren and 8 great grandchildren along with her beloved dogs Otis Oliver and Rosco Ray.

Lois retired from Proctor Hospital in 2009 after 34 years. She was a member of Forest Hill United Methodist Church in Peoria.

Cremation rites have been accorded. A Celebration of Life will be held, 1:00 p.m. Saturday, December 16, 2017, at Forrest Hill United Methodist Church. Pastor Cecilia Granadosin will officiate. Visitation will be from noon until her time of service. Burial of her remains will be at a later date at Evergreen Cemetery in Makanda, IL.
