Manuel Salinas at age 77, was laid to rest Tuesday February, 27,2012 at OSF St. Francis Medical Center in Peoria. He is Survived by eleven Daughters Isabel Stevenson, Judy(Freddie)Obra, Linda(Dennis)Feaster, Nancy(Roy)Spielvogel, Sandi(Larry)Kobylka, Sylvia(Mark)Milhoan,Yolanda(James)Lopez, Delia(James)Hernandez, Elizabeth Lopez, Selina(Ciro)Flores, Gloria(Pilo)Perez. Manuel has 45 grandchildren and 35 great grandchildren. Brothers and Sisters Cruz(Nena)Salinas, Humberto(Janie)Salinas, Benita Salazar, Juanita(Ernest)Henderson, Apolonia Croll, Cecelia Salinas, Juan Norberto(Linda)Salinas, Lorenzo(Susan)Salinas, Felicita(Ernest)Hernandez, Joe(Rachel)Salinas He was preceded in death by his parents Antonio Salinas and Concha Chavarilla Salinas. Manuel was born in San Perlita Texas. He worked at U.S. Steel Mill as a driver and Mt. Olivet and Catholic Charities. Manuel was a loving father and grandfather. He was friendly and enjoyed the company of all his friends. He loved playing pool and going bowling and took a lot of pride in his gardening and handyman to anyone that needed his help. He will be deeply missed by many. Cremation rites have been accorded with a Celebration of life and dinner being held at St. Stephen Hall. 711 Lundy in Streator IL. on Saturday March 10th at 3:00pm.
