Marcus Thompson

Marcus Thompson, 65, of Peoria passed away at 1:48am on Tuesday February 4, 2014 at his residence. He was born on March 29, 1948 in Bellamy, AL the son of Abe and Annie Hines Thompson. He married Elizabeth Young in Bellamy, AL. Surviving are his children Linda Page of Peoria, Brenda Thompson Boyd of Huntsville, AL; Lisa Thompson and Nellie Thompson both of Peoria and Darick Grant of Peoria. He is the grandfather of 9 grandchildren Ayasha Thompson, Isiah Thompson, Darves Page, Ashey Page, Kayla Thompson, John Page, Darick Grant Jr. Da' Rae Grant, and Da' Sean Grant and the great grandfather of Deaysia Jackson. Also surviving are three brothers Lorenza Thompson of York, AL; Abe (Eunice) Thompson Jr. of Peoria; Earlie (Marie) Thompson of Peoria; two sisters Barnette Thompson Staton Island, NY and Annie Lee Harris of Philadelphia, PA. His parents, and two sisters Bernice Thompson and Sally Giles preceded him in death. Caterpillar Tractor Co. employed him for over 35 years before retiring in 2010.
