Margaret Shelby

Margaret M. Shelby, 86, of Peoria passed away at 12:55 PM on Thursday, November 2, 2023, at Accolade Healthcare of East Peoria. She was born on August 19, 1937, in Chicago the daughter of Owen and Marion Dunne McNerney.

She married Toliver Shelby on August 31, 1957, and he passed away on February 4, 1982. She was preceded in death by one sister Rita. . Surviving are her children Dan Rucker and Bre Landis both of Bellingham, WA; Lee Shelby of Peoria, IL; and Susan Marshall of Andrews, IN.  Also surviving are 5 grandchildren and 6 great grandchildren.

While there will be no public services, Margaret's family will privately celebrate her life. Her family invites you to share your favorite stories and memories of Margaret to honor her memory. Her remains will be interred next to her husband at Mt. Calvary Cemetery in Huntington, IN.
