Maria Sanchez De Muñoz

Maria Sanchez de Muñoz, 84, of Peoria, beloved Mother and Grandmother, was called to her eternal resting place on Saturday, November 24, 2018.

She was born March 5, 1934 in Zacatecas, MX. She is survived by her children, Manuel Muñoz Jr., Alma (Francisco) Prieto, Griselda Muñoz, Javier (Cheryl) Muñoz, Jose Muñoz Sr., as well as 10 grandchildren, 27 great grandchildren and 1 great great granddaughter. Maria was preceded in death by her husband Manuel Muñoz Sr., 5 children and daughter in law Judith Muñoz.

She was employed at Nestle USA in Morton, IL from 1978 until her retirement. She was a devout Catholic and would spread the word of God to all that would listen. She loved music, dancing, animals, colorful flowers especially her favorite purple and her greatest joy was being surrounded by her family.

Cremation Rites have been accorded. A Funeral Mass will be 1:30pm Saturday, December 15, 2018, at The Cathedral of Saint Mary of the Immaculate Conception in Peoria, IL. in her honor. After her Mass, a time to celebrate Maria's life will be from 3:00pm until 6:00pm at the Friendship House, 800 N.E. Madison Ave in Peoria.
