Marretta J. Hillen

Marretta J. Hillen, 79, of Peoria passed away at 9:39pm Friday February 24, 2012 at Methodist Medical Center of Illinois. She was born on September 3, 1932 in Humboldt, IA. To Irvin and Diola Waltner Shurtz. She married Charles R. Hillen on November 7, 1964 in Peoria. Surviving is one stepdaughter Betty Evans of Peoria Heights and one step son Joseph Hillen of Peoria. Also surviving are two grandchildren Thomas Street and Nicole Rodriguez, as well as two great grandchildren Demetrius Rodriguez and Kaylee Street. Further surviving are two sisters Marilyn Sinks of Florida; and Maribell Beal of Mt. Vernon, IL. She was preceded in death by one son Larry Mercer and one daughter Larabell Mercer, one stepson Charles L. Hillen. Cremation Rites have been accorded with no services scheduled. Memorials in her name may be given to a charity of the donor's choice.
