Mary I. Hansen

Mary I. Hansen, 88, of Peoria Heights, IL passed away at 5:55 pm on Friday, February 5, 2016 at Unity Point Health-Proctor, Peoria. She was born on April 29, 1927 in Monterey, TN to Corina Owens. Surviving are her children Robert "Bob" (Mary) Hansen of Tremont, Roseann (Elmer) Neikirk and Ralph "Ed" (Chris) Hansen both of Peoria; ten grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren; sisters Betty Hofsteder of Mt. Vernon, IL and Thelma Bridgeman of California. She was preceded in death by her son William "Billy" Hansen and sister Dorothy Hicks. Mary had been a waitress. She loved reading, crossword puzzles, and watching the Weather Channel. Cremation rites have been accorded. Memorials may be given in her son Billy's name to PAWS.
