Mary Janis

Mary K. Janis, 68, of Bradford passed away on Staurday, April 11, 2015 at OSF St. Francis Medical Center in Peoria. She was born on July 10, 1946 in Lima, OH the daughter of Fred and Della Morris Cowan. She married William "Bill" Janis June 1, 1981 in Alger, OH and he survives. Mary is further survived by five children Jerry "TJ" Britton of Illinois, Louisa (Brian) Lovelette of Manito, William (Amy) Janis of Havana, IL; Roberta Hunter and Denise Davis both of Peoria. Also surviving are18 grandchildren including Katherine Janis who was raised by Bill and Mary. Further surviving are three great grandchildren and one sister Vera Sprague of Alger, OH. One daughter Marianne Britton, one sister Shirley Kennedy and her parents preceded her in death. Cremation Rites have been accorded. A Memorial Service to honor Mary's life is scheduled for 6:00pm Thursday, April 16th at Leet United Methodist Church in Bradford with Pastor Mark Graves and Pastor Amy Holman officiating. Following the service, a dinner for family and friends will be at the church until 8:00pm to celebrate her life.
