Mary E. Stoutenborough, 84, of Morton passed away peacefully at 2:00am on Monday, December 2, 2013 at Rosewood Care Center in East Peoria. She was born on December 10, 1928 in Decatur, IL. the daughter of Louise Gordon Davidson. She married Raymond Ross Stoutenborough on August 31, 1947 in Clay County, AR. He preceded her in death on February 17, 1993. Also preceding her in death was her mother and one daughter Carol in 1971. Surviving are three daughters Linda (Mel) Krendick of Dunlap, Cathy (Dennis) Loser of Morton and Sally Stoutenborough of Washington. Also surviving are four sons David (Julie) Stoutenborough of Chillicothe, Thomas Stoutenborough of Peru, Pieter (Sue) Stoutenborough of Morton and Scott Stoutenborough. Further surviving are 7 grandchildren, 5 great grandchildren. Further surviving are several half-brothers and one half sister. Mary worked for the Apostolic Christian Home for the handicapped in Morton for 20 years before retiring. The family would like to thank the staff at Rosewood Care Center and Passage's Hospice for their loving care. Cremation rites have been accorded with a graveside service being held at a later date in Maroa, IL.
