Matthew T. Dowiatt, 48, of Goodfield joined our Great Creator and his grandparents on Tuesday, October 28, 2014 surrounded by his family. He was born on December 6, 1965 in Peoria the son of Anthony J. and Joyce A. Guzlas Dowiatt. Surviving are his beloved parents of Goodfield, one son Jacob Dowiatt of Miami, FL; his best friend and love of his life Lisa Nardini of Suntree, FL his best buddy and brother Tony Dowiatt and his favorite sister Molly (Chris) Neff of Goodfield. Matt was a part time island hopper, full time explorer, experienced shark tooth hunter, professional fisherman, thrower of clay, assistant sous chef to the finest chefs of Woodford County, a wanna be photographer, a junk drawer collector and a man of ideas and poetic thoughts. He was best known as the creator of the lesser known Da Xigua dance, which evolved into the ever poplar Xiao Xigua dance. Cremation rites have been accorded and a time to celebrate Matt's life will be held on Sunday, November 2, 2014 from 1pm until 4pm at the home of his parents.
