Maurice E. Stephens

Maurice E. Stephens, 87, of Dunlap passed away at 9:45am Sunday, September 20, 2015 at Apostolic Christian Skylines in Peoria. He was born on May 22, 1928 in Rushville the son of Delbert and Edna Lung Stephens. He married Jean Ann Short on February 7, 1948 in Peoria. Surviving is his wife, one son Dr. Paul (LeeAnn) Stephens and one granddaughter Khloe Stephens all of Dunlap. One sister Joan White of Metamora along with a host of many nieces, nephews and cousins. One brother and one sister preceded him in death. He was a 25-year retiree of Boilermakers Local 60. Cremation rites have been accorded. A private burial at Swan Lake Memory Gardens will be held at a later date. Memorials in his name may be given to American Lung Association.
