Michael Hoshor

PEORIA-Michael J. Hoshor, 55, of Peoria passed away at 8:38pm at his residence after a battle with cancer. He was born on December 21, 1960 in Peoria the son of Richard and Florence Martin Hoshor. He married Claudia Lair McGurk on July 28, 2001 in Peoria. Surviving are his wife of Peoria, one son Thomas (Lisa) Lair of Peoria, two daughters Kimberley (Aaron) Sarff of Elmwood and Angela (Joe Murphy) McGurk of Sparland; five grandchildren Skye, Hunter and Alex Lair; as well as Nathan and Adam Michael Sarff. Further surviving is one sister Debbie (Denny) Hines of Hanna City along with several nieces and nephews. His parents preceded him in death. Mike worked for Peoria School District 150 as a custodian at Washington Gifted School where he was loved by the faculty and students and will be missed by all. He also owned and operated a business known as Foundations where he conducted presentations about drug and alcohol abuse at various schools throughout the Midwest. Cremation rites have been accorded. Private services will be held at a later date.
