Michael Jones

Michael T. Jones, 61, of Peoria passed away at 12:21am Monday February 12, 2024, at OSF hospital in Peoria, IL.

He was born on August 14, 1962, in Peoria, IL, the son of Margaret (Peggy) Jones. He married Darlene Jones on March 3, 1982, in Peoria.

Surviving are one daughter Stephanie McAvin of Pekin, and one son Michael Timothy Jones of Pekin, 7 grandchildren – Jase, Tyler, Gracie, Tegan, Jersie, Sylas, and Frankee. Also surviving are Mike's siblings- Patricia Melloy of Mountain View, CA; Jacki (Wayne) Wiebler, Trivoli; James (Dawn) Jones, Peoria; Shelley (Randy) Messersmith, Bartonville; Trilla Jones, Peoria Heights along with many nieces and nephews and cousins.

His mother, Peggy and wife Darlene preceded him in death.

He last worked in Oregon before moving back to Peoria.

He was a veteran and will be accorded military rites.

Cremation Rites have been accorded and a private burial will be held at a later date in Glendale Cemetery in Pekin. Should friends desire; memorials in his name may be given to the family to offset expenses.
