Miriam "Tootie" Mangum

Miriam "Tootie" Mangum, 85, of Peoria passed away at 8:30pm on Saturday, January 3, 2015 at her home surrounded by her family. She was born on February 18, 1929 in Peoria the daughter of Russell and Ethel Schultz Graham. She married Robert Paul in 1948. Surviving is one stepdaughter Alice Paul, two daughters Tobi Mangum, Merry Reese and one son Terry Paul. One son Tim Paul preceded her in death. She then married Gilbert Buchanan who also preceded her in death and they had one son Barry Buchanan. Tootie has 10 living grandchildren, 11 great grandchildren. One grandson and three great grandchildren also preceded her in death. She was a member of Northwest Baptist Church in Peoria. She was deeply involved in many community groups and was a member of Timberlake Club. Honoring her request, cremation rites have been accorded with private family services being held. Memorials in her name may be given to her church.
