Nathan D. Hoagland

PEORIA-Nathan D. Hoagland, 95, of Peoria, passed away at 12:45 a.m., Wednesday, December 7, 2016, at Farmington Country Manor and Rehabilitation Center in Farmington, IL. He was born on December 3, 1921 in Pueblo, CO the son of Clark and Lucille Caulkins Hoagland. He married Joan Lilya in May of 1957. She passed away November 11, 2008. Also preceding him in death were two sons, Tim Rudd and Kevin Rudd, two daughters Mary Milonas and Debbie Hoagland. Surviving are two sons John (Suzi) Rudd; Nathan (Denise) Hoagland, and one daughter Kathy (Jim) Stomberg all of Peoria, along with 21 grandchildren and 26 great grandchildren. Further surviving are two daughter-in-laws Cheryl Rudd and Anita Rudd, one son-in-law Steve Milonas all of Peoria. He was an honorably discharged U.S. Army Air-Corp. Nathan farmed in Peoria County, was a Real Estate Agent for Lucille Hoagland Realty in Peoria, worked construction with his son Nathan, and later worked for Central Illinois Agency on Aging. Cremation Rites have been accorded. A Prayer Service will be held 7:00 p.m., Tuesday, December 13, 2016, at St. Anthony Catholic Church in Bartonville. The family will receive friends beginning at 5:00 and continue until his time of service. Burial of his remains will be at a later date at St. Mary's Cemetery in West Peoria. Memorials in his name may be given to Farmington Country Manor Nursing and Rehabilitation Center.
