Nellie J. Kirby

Nellie J. Kirby, 79, of Peoria passed away 7:02 pm Wednesday December 21, 2011 at her residence with family by her side. She was born on August 8, 1932 in Oglesby, IL the daughter of Leo and Nellie Taylor Clausen. She married Keith E. Warren on February 17, 1951. He passed away on June 29, 1958 in East Moline, IL. She was also preceded in death by her parents, one son, Scott K. Warren on June 18, 1996 as well as 3 brothers and 3 sisters. Surviving are two daughters Cindy Warren of Davenport, IA and Wendy Hovey and her partner Karen Olson of Key West, FL. Also surviving are two grandchildren Jennifer Spencer and Christopher Hovey as well as two great grandchildren, Darian Spencer and Dalton Spencer. She also adored her two Siamese cats, Tammy and Tikal. Cremation Rites have been accorded. A memorial service is scheduled for 2pm Wednesday December 28th at Community United Church of Christ 300 N. Main St. Morton, IL. Visitation will be from 1pm until her time of service.
