Pamela Filson

Pamela Jo Filson, 66, of Lacon passed away at 3:30pm Sunday July 28, 2013 at OSF St. Francis Medical Center in Peoria. She was born on December 12, 1946 in Spring Valley, IL the daughter of Dorsey and Orah Mae McClary Thompson. Surviving are two sons Jeff (Nicolle) Filson of Pekin, John (Tina) Filson of Ft. Worth, TX; two daughters Lori (Jack) Sturtz of Las Cruces, NM and Melissa (Brian) Birdsell of Portland, TN. Also surviving are 16 grandchildren, three great grandchildren as well as one sister Karen (B. Jay) Holler of Lacon. She was preceded in death by one grandson Andrew, as well as one sister Marla Mae Clark and one brother Donald Thompson. Cremation Rites have been accorded with a 2pm graveside service at Lacon City Cemetery on Saturday August 3, 2013. The family will then receive friends from 3pm until 4pm at the United Methodist Church, 107 N. Prairie St in Lacon. In lieu of flowers memorials in her name may be given to St. Joseph Nursing Home or to the American Diabetes Association.
