Pamela Sue Wright

November 27, 1947 — October 13, 2018

After a short bout with cancer, Pamela Sue (Schmitt) Wright passed away on October 13, 2018, at the age of 70 surrounded by friends and family.

Pam was born in Peoria, IL in 1947 to Monica and Elmer (Ty) Marsh. She graduated from Woodruff High School. Shortly after graduation, Pam married George Howard Schmitt and had three children. Over the years, Pam moved between Illinois, Alabama and Mississippi. She held numerous positions as a casino worker. Pam enjoyed crafting, sewing, soap-making, reading and traveling.

Pam was preceded in death by her husband George Howard Schmitt, her parents Monica Marsh Davis and Elmer (Ty) Marsh, her stepfather Delbert Davis, her foster parents Bernard and Elsie Crilly and her half-sister Janet (Alan) Sandquist.

Pam is survived by her three children, Mike (Heidi) Schmitt, Terri (Jimmy) Frank and Kim (Justin) Johnson. She also has five grandchildren, Jessica (Cliff) Norton, Brady Schmitt, Teagan Frank, Josh Frank and Cooper Johnson and two great granddaughters, Cailey and Savannah Norton. She is also survived by her sister, Kate (Randy) Bean, half-brother Bob (Linda) Clemons, former spouse Joe Wright and numerous nieces, nephews, extended family and life-long friends.

At Pam's request, no funeral services will be held as it was her wish to spend eternity at sea among the dolphins. Her ashes will be spread at sea in California by her loving granddaughter Jessica and two great-granddaughters, whom Pam enjoyed spending time with.

For those that wish to express their love and support, memorial contributions can be made to your local pet shelter in Pam's name as that was a cause near and dear to her heart.  To share a special memory of Pam, visit www.peoriafuneral.com.
