Obituary

Pamela Sue Zipper, 64, of Metamora, Illinois, passed away unexpectedly at 11:58 pm Monday, June 22, 2026, at Carle Health Hospital in Peoria, Illinois.

She was born to Walt and Rose (Dismang) Carrington in Peoria, IL, on April 6, 1962.

Pam grew up with a deep sense of family and community. Her years of service as a CNA spanned more than 25 years, reflecting her commitment to caring for others. Pam shared that same spirit at home, where she raised three children with her first husband, Frank R Davis, for 38 years until his passing in 2016.

Pam found a partner and companionship once more in Steven W. Zipper and remarried in 2022. Steven passed away the day after Pam, on June 23, 2026. Pam was preceded in death by her parents; her first husband, Frank Davis; her loving brother, Daniel Dismang; and her sister, Janice Dismang.

She was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, sister, aunt, and friend who cherished her family above all else. She loved hosting family dinners, traveling, playing Bingo, and making memories.

She leaves behind a large, loving family: children Ashesha (Alonzo) Collins, Frankie (Nicky) Davis, Jennifer Davis, Jeremey (Theresa) Zipper, Louis Zipper, and Kim Crouse; like kids Ashley, Kayla, Amanda, and Roy Molten; a devoted brother, Jimmy Dismang; sixteen grandchildren; eleven great-grandchildren; and a wide circle of nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends who carry forward the warmth and generosity she shared with them.

Cremation has been arranged. A combined Celebration of Life for Pamela and Steven will be held on Sunday, July 12, 2026, from 1:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m. at Christy's Place in Washington, Illinois.
