Patricia A. Waibel

Patricia A. Waibel, 84, of Peoria passed away at 12 midnight, Tuesday, September 15, 2015 at Heritage Health in Chillicothe, IL. She was born on March 18, 1931 in Peoria the daughter of Bernard and Veronica Cullen Kemmer. She married Joseph Waibel on April 11, 1953 in Peoria. Surviving is her husband, their children Gregory (Laurie) Waibel of Congerville Jody (Wesley) Smith of Roberts, IL and Bernie Waibel of Peoria. Also surviving are four grandsons Nathan Waibel, Jacob Waibel, Matthew Waibel, and Kurt Smith and one granddaughter Angela Waibel. Further surviving are three sisters Roberta Elder, Elizabeth Kemmer, and Rita (Ralph) Swanson along with one brother William (Norma) Kemmer. Three sisters Mary Buehler, Josephine Rock and Mildred Kidd preceded her in death. She worked for Illinois Bell and St. Francis Medical Center as a receptionist and telephone operator. She later worked in food service for School District 150 working at Longfellow, Von Steuben middle school and retired from Woodruff High School in 1989. She was a member of St. Peter's Catholic Church in Peoria. Cremation rites have been accorded. A time to celebrate her life will be held on Friday, September 18, 2015 from 4pm until 8pm at the Navy Marine Club in Peoria Heights. Burial of her remains will be at a later date at St. Joseph Catholic Cemetery in West Peoria. Memorials may be given to the Neighborhood House Peoria, 1020 S. Matthews St. Peoria, IL 61605.
