Peggy Eileen Rakestraw, 88, of East Peoria, IL, passed away at 4:30 pm on Monday, March 22, 2021, in Victoria, IL, at home with her daughter Julie and son-in-law John.

She was born on October 6, 1932, in Pekin, IL, daughter of Thomas and Ruth Larimore, one of five siblings.  She married Keith Rakestraw  in Peoria, IL and they had three children.

Surviving are two daughters, Barb Rakestraw Meier and Julie (John) Rakestraw Kunski; six grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren; and brother, Darrell Larimore.  She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, son Brian Rakestraw, and siblings Evelyn Peterson, Joan Larimore, and Tom Larimore.

Peggy worked at Hiram Walker Distillery until their closing, then Sears, and lastly at Famous Barr until her retirement.  She enjoyed traveling with family and friends, bowling, gardening, reading, and working crossword puzzles.  Peggy loved spending time with her grandchildren and family the most.
