Perry A. Marlette

Lewistown - Perry Alan Marlette, 59, died Monday, February 15, 2016 at OSF St. Francis Medical Center in Peoria, IL. He was born in Germany on April 8, 1956, to Eva Lou (Eaton) and Perry Alan Marlette, Sr. He is survived by his mother, Eva Welch, of Cuba; along with niece Danielle Marie Marlette Perkins of Ithaca, NY. Born in Germany, he attended Cuba, IL schools. Marlette served in the U.S. Army Infantry from 1974-1978. He graduated from Western Illinois University in 1986 with a Bachelor of Science in geography and a minor in geology. Marlette worked with adults with developmental disabilities for many years, beginning as a vocational support trainer for Bethphage in Macomb and eventually supervising homes in Colorado, Nevada and Idaho. Marlette was a grateful kidney transplant recipient. He was very patriotic. He enjoyed time as a fly-fishing guide and had a passion for the outdoors, particularly trout streams. Cremation rites have been accorded and a private burial is planned.
