Phillip K. Rocke, 52, of Bartonville formerly of Gridley passed away on Wednesday October 5, 2011 at 5:55pm. He was born on January 26, 1959, in Peoria, the son of Lawrence and Pelma "Pat" Ratliffe Rocke both of Roanoke. He married Susan Brown on November 2 1979 in Roanoke. Surviving are two daughters, Amber (Brian) Vercler of Joliet, and Jessica Rocke of Washington. Also surviving are two grandsons Braden and Jesse, as well as one brother Elton (Gail) Rocke of Pekin, four sisters Linda (Eldon) Witzig of Roanoke, Rita Schroeder of Washington, Melodie (John) Sutter of Ellsworth, and Pamela (Al) Sornson of Lake Camelot. 13 nieces and nephews also survive. His parents and one brother, Randy, preceded him in death. Phillip was employed for 20 years at Hart-Carter of Gridley until the closing of the plant in October 1999. Phillips favorite things to do in life were spending time with and helping out his family and friends, especially Larry & Judy. He enjoyed riding many miles on his bike and vacationing across the United States. He loved being outside, enjoyed Frisbee golf and fished anywhere he could. Cremation Rites have been accorded with Memorial Services scheduled for 4pm Monday, October 10, 2011 at Roanoke Apostolic Church Fellowship Hall in Roanoke with church ministers officiating. The family will receive friends one hour prior to his services. Memorials may be given in his name to the Apostolic Christian Home 1102 W. Randolph St. Roanoke, IL 61561.
