Phyllis Jones

Phyllis J. Jones, 81 of Peoria Heights, IL passed away on Thursday July 24, 2025, at her residence.

She was born on October 21, 1943, in Peoria, IL the daughter of John and Arabelle Cannon Engle.

Surviving are two sons Todd (Wendy) Bennett of Peoria Heights, and Chad Bennett of Torrance, CA.  Also surviving are 9 grandchildren, 15 great grandchildren, along with 2 brothers Dennis and Mike and daughter in law Joanne Hyde.  She was preceded in death by one son Rick Bennett, one grandson Chase Bennett, four sisters and three brothers.

She worked as a forklift operator for Federal Warehouse retiring after 26 years of service.  She later worked for CEFCU working as a loan officer.

Cremation rites have been accorded. A graveside service is scheduled for 11 am August 6, 2025, at Parkview Cemetery in Peoria.  A celebration of life will follow her service from noon until 4pm at the Creve Coeur Community Center, 586 Groveland Ave in Creve Coeur, IL. In lieu of flowers, memorials in her name may be given to a charity of the donor's choice.  Mason-White Funeral Home in Washington has been entrusted with arrangements.
