Phyllis Riggenbach

Phyllis A. Riggenbach, 71, of Peoria Heights, IL, passed away at 5:55 a.m. Wednesday, Jan. 4, 2012, at her residence. She was born on Dec. 1, 1940, in Peoria, IL, to Herman and Alice (Moser) Langjahr. She married Larry D. Riggenbach on Oct. 13, 1963 in Peoria, IL. He died on Sept. 8, 2002, in Peoria, IL. Surviving are one son, Jeff Riggenbach, of Owasso, OK, and one daughter, Paige (and John) Wulfert, of Elmhurst, IL; four grandchildren; and one brother, Richard (and Susan) Langjahr of Peoria, IL. Her parents; and one infant daughter preceded her in death. Phyllis was a wonderful wife, mother and grandmother who deeply loved her husband of 39 years and family. She was a loyal fan of St. Louis Cardinals baseball and Bradley University basketball. She worked as a secretary at WABCO prior to dedicating her life to raising her children. A private graveside service will be held at Mt. Hope Cemetery in Tremont, IL. Family and friends are invited to an informal gathering at the family home, 1717 Terrace View Lane, Peoria Heights, IL, from 1:30 - 4:00 p.m. on Tuesday, January 10, 2012.
