Priscilla "Sib" Harrison, 83, of Eureka, IL, formerly of Peoria, IL, passed away on Sunday, August 17, 2025, at the Loft Rehabilitation in Eureka.
She was born on November 21, 1941, in Streator, IL, the daughter of John Albert and Geraldine Lamb Kurrle, and was raised in Wenona, IL. She married William E. Harrison on March 31, 1966.
Surviving are one daughter, Heather (Marshall) Bernius Jr. of Eureka, two grandchildren, Natasha Bernius and Olivia Bernius. Also surviving are a host of nieces, nephews, and cousins. Her parents, former husband William, one brother, John R. Kurrle, and one sister, Nancy J. Levitt, all preceded her in death.
She pursued her studies at Southern Illinois University in Carbondale, where she embraced her love for learning. A dedicated secretary, she contributed her skills to several businesses in Peoria, leaving a positive impact wherever she worked. In her spiritual journey, she was christened at the Wenona Presbyterian Church. Sib was a former member of the Universalist Unitarian Church in Peoria, as well as having attended the Presbyterian Church in Peoria.
Creativity flowed through her; she found joy in drawing, watercolor painting, and the art of poetry, becoming a published poet in the process. Her heart was filled with a profound love for her cats, an unwavering appreciation for the beauty of nature, and a deep, abiding faith in Christ.
Cremation rites have been accorded. A celebration of life is scheduled for a later date. Memorials may be given to any no-kill pet shelter, or the Center for Prevention of Abuse in Peoria.
