Richard D. "Bubba" Henderson, 41, of East Peoria passed away peacefully at 5:30am on Wednesday, June 11, 2014 at OSF Richard IL. Owens Hospice Home in Peoria surrounded by his family. He was born on September 25, 1972 in Peoria the son of William and Mary (Maple) Henderson. Richard was raised by his paternal grandparents Richard and Alla Jean (Jackson) Henderson. He married Michele Hall on December 18, 1991 in Peoria. She survives with their four children Zachary, Jacob, Joel and Brittany all of East Peoria along with one granddaughter Zoey. Also surviving are his paternal grandmother Alla Jean of Peoria, two sisters Marian (James) Ricca of Bartonville, IL and Wendy (John) Smith of Lafollette, TN. as well as many nieces and nephews. His parents and his paternal grandfather preceded him in death. Bubba was an avid hunter, fisherman and cherished time spent with his family and friends, and was proud of becoming a grandpa for the first time. He was a member of The Rock Church 1081 Upper Spring Bay Rd, East Peoria where memorial services will be held 10am on Saturday, June 14, 2014 with Pastor Chuck Tate officiating.
