Richard K. Johnson, 75, of Peoria passed away at 4:18am on Sunday, January 18 2015 in the emergency room of Unity Point Health-Methodist in Peoria. He was born on February 12, 1939 in Peoria the son of the late Forrest D. and Roselyn L. Kaiser Johnson. He married Sharon Holliday on November 16, 1973 in Peoria. Surviving is his wife, one brother Forrest R. (Josephine) Johnson, one brother in law Terry Holliday and numerous nieces, nephews, great nieces and nephews, great great nieces and nephews. Richard worked for Red Diamond Battery and later Brinks Armored car Service. He had many enjoyments in life including muscle cars, fishing, hunting especially pheasants and had a wonderful talent for carving duck decoys and fishing lures. Cremation rites have been accorded. A funeral Mass will be held 10am Thursday, January 22, 2015 at St. Ann Catholic Church in Peoria. The Reverend Terry Cassidy will officiate. A time to celebrate his life will then be held at the church hall immediately following his Mass. In lieu of flowers memorials in his name may be given to TAPS.
